Cowboy is available for pony parties and pony rides. Cowboy is a belgian, haflinger cross and very, very big boned. He can carry much more weight then our smaller ponies and is suitable for children of larger weights. Cowboy is a very sweet, honest boy who loves being brushed and getting treats! Cowboy had a sad start to his life as he was a amish horse for 8 years. When they decided he no longer benefited them he was sent to an auction house that is well known for its kill buyers (slaughter house owners). He was then purchased by a private owner who fattened him up and let him become a pasture pet. After 6 months of finally learning to be a horse and not a machine it was time for him to find a new home. We were fortunate enough to see him for sale and purchase him. We are so thankful he had an angel looking after him when he walked into the auction pen and 7 months later found his way into his forever home here at Cowgirl Up. You may have seen Cowboy at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds giving pony rides to children, the elderly and even to special needs riders. Cowboy loves his job and takes care of all his riders. Don’t hesitate to ask if Cowboy is available for your party or event, but please keep in mind there is an additional fee for him to come out. He is a big gentle giant ready to put a smile on everyones face!
